A Much Needed Update

It has been awhile since I updated these pages. I had a couple of projects that kept me away. One was writing a book called Dr Mel's Connecticut Climate Book, and the other hasn't been revealed yet, but maybe by February. It took me 40 years to get to this point on that project. In any case, I miss sharing my throughts with you, and at the same time sharing the thoughts of others. Those thoughts and lifestyles are the subject of a third book which I am trying to get the energy to write. I am just about there. We just can't give up.

New Book

It might have taken 2 and a half years, but in a week or two my book on Connecticut climate will be on the shelves....Dr. Mel's Connecticut Climate Book. Now, I'll be able to get down to business on myeloma advances and profile some of the remarkable people with this disease. Stay tuned.

The Cows Still Moooove Me

It has been a busy 12 months.....I began an additional project - writing a new weather book which will be called the Connecticut Weather Almanac, or something very close to that. What an exhausting project, but I am now more than halfway there. It will be published later this year. Yet, I haven't done much on Sketches, the year was very difficult. I lost several good friends to this disease, and the weather book became an escape from the realities of dealing with an incureable disease. In addition, I have had a series of minor setbacks which appears to be under control. Early this morning, is the first time in months that I have been able to sit down to share some thoughts - trying to break the ice with you, once again. There is more reason than ever to remain optimistic.
