Matt Scott wins big for Dr. Mel Fund Print E-mail
Written by Jeff Bailey
Saturday, 14 April 2007
Once again the poker playing skills of WTNH-TV meterologist Matt Scott have helped to grow the Dr. Mel Goldstein Multiple Myeloma Fund.

Matt finished in second place March 28, 2007, at the annual Foxwoods Poker Classic Charity Media Showdown. He collected a check for $7,000.

checkThe event took place during the Foxwoods Poker Classic, an event on the World Poker Tour.

Over the years Matt has donated thousands of dollars in winnings to the fund, to which we say thank you, thank you, once again.

And just because we know you'd be curious, this year's winner was reporter Jim Altman from WTIC-TV in Hartford. He collected $15,000 for his charity, The Fox 61 Family Fund.
